Hey loves! It’s been a while since I’ve done a food review! I know! I’m not a food blogger! Plus it’s not all the time that I eat out, BUT I am addicted to food. Hence why you’ll find snippets of food on NC4OT here & there. I’m considering ways to make this tab more active! I do have a great idea in mind! In the meantime, you can always use this Food Section for suggestions/recommendations of restaurants and certain menu items to try!

Today we’re talking all about Burger & Lobster! Two of my friends had visited this restaurant on separate occasions and when I saw one of their plates on Instagram, I knew I just had to go! I screenshotted the pic to my boyfriend and we were on our way as soon as I got back from Toronto.

About Burger & Lobster

Burger & Lobster, located on W 19th Street, is a bustling restaurant in the city! There’s plenty of people waiting and plenty eating. On a Tuesday night, my boyfriend and I waited an hour and 20 mins for a table. And that was only on a Tuesday! However, the restaurant is so spacious that I assume that wait time will decrease when the owners decide to fill the space with more tables.

Like your every day Red Lobster, Burger & Lobster also features a lobster tank in the waiting area, BUT these were the BIGGEST lobsters I’ve ever seen in my entire life. The bigger the lobster, of course, the more the cost – ranging from $78 to over $300 for the biggest lobster they offer.

Moreover, written on the tank and even online, Burger & Lobster poses as a restaurant with snappy attitude. I love it! Burger & Lobster not only insists on having no food menu, but also on having no wifi, asking that patrons “talk to each other and pretend its 1995”. I don’t think I’ve ever been at a dinner where my friend/date couldn’t stay off their phone, but maybe this is an experience you’ve had. Tell me below!

About the Food

Burger & Lobster’s menu is ONLY 3 ITEMS long! You have your choice of (1) burger, (2) whole lobster, or (3) lobster roll, each costing only $20 ORRR the combo for two – 2 burgers with fries, 1 whole lobster to share, mini salads, ANDDD 2 desserts – all for $30 per person (total of $60). My boyfriend and I visited with the intention to get the combo!

Note: Though there is no physical food menu, there is a drinks menu!

◊ Spring Fling: Love

My cocktail was sweet yet sour! Like candy! Always happy when my liquor tastes like candy! This drink was simple, containing mostly strawberries and vodka, but great flavor. Downside: Spring Fling and all other 5 cocktails costs $12!

Decent burger! Nothing too special about it! I didn’t have enough burger sauce so I did have to add ketchup. Still, it’s a tasty burger! My money wasn’t wasted. The bacon on it was amazing! Something about restaurant bacon is so much better than bacon at home. As for the fries, they were very much like fries you can get anywhere! They were good, tasted similar to McDonalds. No reason to dwell any longer on that.

◊ Lobster: Love!

Lobster can be steamed or grilled. Here we’ve steamed ours. It was so great! Just wish there was more! Your lobster will also come with a choice of regular butter or a lemon garlic butter sauce! The lemon garlic butter is amazing and is what your waiter will recommend! It tastes so yummy! I can’t even describe the flavor without using the words, lemon-y and garlic-y, but you won’t be disappointed! We even drizzled it on our mini-salads and the salads were even better than before!

◊ Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse: Like

Among the desserts of the night, my boyfriend and I thought we’d both try the cheesecake. Personally, I have to eat cheesecake very slowly to avoid the consistency throwing me off. I usually feel the need to vomit with food that is too soft, specifically yogurt. Long childhood trauma lol. Anyway, the cheesecake mousse wasn’t firm at all! It was very soft. And I like a bit of firmness to my cheesecake. Thankfully, the consistency didn’t mess with me! And I was able to eat it. The flavor was great! And I like the crumbs topping with each bite! The strawberries tasted sweet, but almost had a fizz to them! I don’t understand why there was a soda-like fizz, but it was interesting and I liked the strawberry topping anyway.

Overall, I would return to Burger & Lobster, but next time, mainly for lobster. Everyone should experience the combo at least once! So I’m glad we did, but my boyfriend and I wanted more lobster than what was on our plate! Burger & Lobster may be a good idea if you want to do a cheap date night in the city, but you’re going to get a WHOLE lot more for your buck at Red Lobster!

♥ So, are you dying to try out Burger & Lobster?!

♥ Does looking at these photos make you as hungry as they’re making me? Comment below!

Until next time!
